Local Living Leadership Icons

On the right-hand edge of each coupon, you'll find a strip of small icons. Each of these icons represent a business practice rooted in local living economy principles. This marks an opportunity to showcase some of the ways in which our locally owned businesses are benefiting the local and global community.

For example, by checking the icons on a coupon, you can see if that business has made a commitment to recycling, or stocking fair trade products, or using local products.

Our intention is to celebrate and support our local business community, and then either voice our support for a particular commitment or respectfully encourage those that have not made these commitments to get involved.

	Locally Owned	Owned and operated by community based residents.
	Community Citizenship	Generously contributes to the better welfare of the community through donations to local civic groups and non-profit organizations.
	Actively Recycles	Recycles and/or purchases recycled products.
	Practices Fair Trade	Stocks certified fair trade products that support responsible production, fair wages and local ownership around the world.
	Saves With CFLs	Replaced standard incandescent light bulbs with energy efficient Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs).
	Utilizes Local Products	Produces local goods or buys from local producers.
